Notes

  • Ensure cream cheese is fully softened to room temperature before beating to prevent lumps.
  • Mix batter on low speed once eggs are added to avoid incorporating excess air, which causes cracks.
  • Use a warm, sharp knife dipped in hot water between cuts for pristine, professional-looking squares.
  • Allow crust to cool slightly before adding cheesecake layer to prevent a soggy bottom.
  • Scatter peanuts immediately after pouring chocolate so they adhere properly before the coating sets.
  • Four hours is the absolute minimum chilling time; cutting too early results in messy slices.
  • Ensure cheesecake is fully chilled before adding chocolate topping to prevent melting and muddy layers.
