Parmesan Garlic Butter Italian Dressing Chicken is the kind of weeknight wonder that turns your kitchen into the coziest corner of the house. The aroma of roasted garlic and melted Parmesan fills the room as golden butter bubbles around tender meat. Every bite carries a savory punch of Italian dressing tang beneath a crisp, cheesy crust.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine the Italian dressing, softened butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish and coat them generously with the Parmesan garlic-butter mixture.
  4. Sprinkle a little extra Parmesan over the top of the chicken.
  5. Roast for about 25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the outside is golden and lightly browned.
  6. Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest briefly.
  7. Finish with freshly chopped parsley and spoon some of the flavorful pan juices over the chicken.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy the juicy chicken with its golden Parmesan crust and glossy garlic-butter coating.

Notes

  • Let butter soften naturally so it creams into the dressing and cheese; cold butter leaves greasy pockets.
  • Grate Parmesan finely rather than buying shredded for better melting and adherence.
  • Pat the chicken dry before coating to ensure proper browning.
  • Use a light colored baking dish to prevent overbrowning.
  • Rest the meat after roasting so juices redistribute.
  • Be conservative with additional salt since Parmesan and dressing both contribute salinity.
