Lemon Parmesan Italian Dressing Chicken is a weeknight miracle that fills your kitchen with bright citrus and savory cheese aromas. The tangy Italian dressing seeps into every tender bite while fresh lemon and garlic add a lively kick. Golden Parmesan melts into a delicate crust that crackles softly under your fork.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish and pat them dry.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the Italian dressing, lemon juice, minced garlic, olive oil, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Pour the mixture over the chicken and turn the breasts to coat them evenly.
  5. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan generously over the top of each chicken breast.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the Parmesan is golden and lightly crisp.
  7. Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes.
  8. Finish with fresh lemon zest and chopped parsley.
  9. Serve warm with the flavorful lemon-Parmesan juices from the baking dish.

Notes

  • Pat the chicken completely dry before adding the dressing mixture.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan rather than pre-shredded.
  • Let the chicken rest after baking so the juices redistribute.
  • Whisk the dressing mixture until the oil and lemon juice emulsify.
  • Do not skip patting the chicken dry.
  • Avoid overbaking past thirty minutes.
  • Do not forget the final lemon zest and parsley.
