Tender chicken breasts baked with zesty Italian dressing, roasted garlic, and a freshly grated Parmesan crust for an easy, golden weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
  • Extra grated Parmesan, for finishing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the chicken breasts on a lightly greased or parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. In a bowl, combine the Italian dressing, minced garlic, grated Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt and black pepper.
  4. Pour the garlic Parmesan dressing mixture over the chicken breasts and spread it evenly over every piece.
  5. Drizzle lightly with olive oil and sprinkle a little extra Parmesan over the top.
  6. Bake for about 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the outside is golden and caramelized.
  7. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing so the juices stay inside.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.
  9. Slice one chicken breast to reveal the juicy interior and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best melting and browning; avoid pre-grated varieties with anti-caking agents.
  • Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after baking so juices redistribute.
  • Line the baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it for easy cleanup.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan; leave space between breasts for proper roasting.
  • Use a meat thermometer and remove chicken from the oven when the thickest part reaches 165°F.
