Tender chicken soaks up a luscious blend of tangy Italian dressing and rich melted butter infused with garlic for an easy weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup Italian dressing
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a lightly greased baking dish or on a parchment-lined baking tray.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the Italian dressing, melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Pour the garlic-butter Italian dressing mixture evenly over the chicken, making sure each piece is well coated.
  5. Bake for about 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. Spoon some of the flavorful pan juices over the chicken and let it rest for a few minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley, slice one chicken breast to reveal the juicy interior, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure chicken reaches 165°F for safe, juicy results.
  • Let the sauce sit for five minutes after mixing so the garlic blooms in the acidic dressing.
  • Pat the chicken dry before placing it in the dish so the butter mixture adheres.
  • Do not skip resting after baking; this allows juices to redistribute.
  • Melt butter fully before mixing; cold butter will not blend with the dressing.
  • Avoid overcrowding the pan to prevent steaming instead of roasting.
