Crispy Hot Honey Cheeseburger Pickle Egg Rolls are the ultimate mashup of your favorite diner burger and crunchy takeout nostalgia. Imagine juicy seasoned beef and melty cheddar tucked inside a shatteringly crisp shell. A drizzle of warm hot honey and a pop of dill pickle makes every bite unforgettable.

  • 1 lb (450g) lean ground beef (85/15 or 90/10)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp fine sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, freshly shredded
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, finely diced
  • Wrappers & Assembly:
  • 10–12 standard egg roll wrappers
  • 1 large egg beaten with 1 tbsp water (egg wash)
  • High-heat cooking spray or olive oil spray (for baking)
  • Finishing & Garnish:
  • 1/3 cup hot honey, slightly warmed
  • 2 tbsp fresh chives, finely minced

Instructions

  1. Cook the Beef: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef along with the garlic powder

  5. and black pepper. Break up the meat and cook until fully browned and crumbly (about 6–8 minutes). Drain any excess grease thoroughly and let the meat cool for 5 minutes.Combine Filling: In a large mixing bowl
  6. fold together the seasoned ground beef
  7. shredded cheddar cheese
  8. and diced dill pickles until evenly distributed.Assemble the Egg Rolls: Lay one egg roll wrapper flat on a clean surface in a diamond orientation (one corner pointing toward you). Place about 3 tablespoons of the filling horizontally across the lower third. Fold the bottom corner tightly up over the filling
  9. fold both outer sides inward toward the center
  10. and roll upward into a tight cylinder. Dab the top corner with the egg wash to seal firmly. Repeat with all wrappers.Bake (Oven-Fry): Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F) and line a sheet pan with parchment paper. Lightly coat the paper and the assembled egg rolls with cooking spray. Bake for 18–20 minutes
