Crispy Honey Garlic Chicken Thighs are a weeknight dinner with golden, crackling skin under a glossy glaze of honey, soy, and garlic. Just nine ingredients and a hot oven.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and olive oil. Mix until glossy and well combined.
  4. Arrange the chicken thighs skin-side up on a lightly oiled or parchment-lined baking tray.
  5. Brush the honey-garlic mixture generously over the chicken, coating the skin evenly.
  6. Roast for about 25–30 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the skin is deeply golden, crisp, and caramelized.
  7. Let the chicken rest for a few minutes, then drizzle with any remaining glaze and sprinkle with fresh parsley.
  8. Serve immediately while the skin is crispy and the honey-garlic glaze is glossy.

Notes

  • Dry the skin aggressively with paper towels until tacky; moisture is the enemy of crispness.
  • Do not crowd the tray; air needs to circulate around each thigh.
  • Watch the glaze during roasting; if the skin darkens too fast, lower the oven temperature by 10 degrees for the final minutes.
  • Let the chicken rest before finishing so juices settle back into the meat.
  • Ensure the oven is fully preheated before roasting.
