Crispy Cheeseburger Potato Bombs represent the ultimate fusion of two beloved comfort foods into one handheld delight. Imagine biting through a golden, crunchy shell to discover a warm center packed with savory beef and melted cheese.

Ingredients

  • For the Potato Dough:500 g (about 3 cups) boiled potatoes
  • smoothly mashed and cooled 1 large egg 2 tablespoons dried herbs (such as parsley) Salt and black pepper
  • to tasteFor the Cheeseburger Filling:250 g (1/2 lb) ground beef
  • browned and seasoned 100 g (1 cup) shredded cheddar cheese 4–5 slices cooked bacon
  • chopped into bits 1–2 dill pickles
  • thinly sliced For the Coating & Garnish:Panko breadcrumbs (for coating the outside) Extra shredded cheddar
  • crispy bacon crumbles
  • and sliced pickles (for the top) Oil for frying or baking

Instructions

  1. Make the Potato Dough: In a mixing bowl
  2. combine the cooled mashed potatoes
  3. whole egg
  4. and dried parsley until an even
  5. moldable dough forms. Flatten the Base: Scoop a portion of the potato dough into your hand and press it flat into a thick disk across your palm. Add the Filling: Place a spoonful of cooked seasoned beef in the center
  6. followed by sliced pickles
  7. shredded cheddar
  8. and crispy bacon bits. Shape into Balls: Gently fold the edges of the potato mixture upward and seal them around the filling
  9. rolling it between your palms into a smooth sphere. Coat in Panko: Roll the potato ball thoroughly in panko breadcrumbs
  10. pressing lightly so the coating adheres evenly. Cook: Fry in hot oil (or bake/air-fry) until the outer crust is deeply golden brown and crunchy. Garnish & Serve: Press a small indentation into the top of each hot potato bomb
  11. top with extra shredded cheddar
  12. bacon bits
  13. and a pickle slice
  14. allowing the cheese to melt slightly before serving.
