Ingredients

  • Melted Butter: 1/2 cup (115 g) Granulated White Sugar: 1/2 cup (100 g) Brown Sugar: 3/4 cup (150 g) Eggs: 1 whole egg + 1 yolk Vanilla Extract: 1 teaspoon All-Purpose Flour: 1 1/2 cups (200 g) Cornstarch: 1 teaspoon Baking Soda: 1/2 teaspoon Salt: 1/2 teaspoon Chocolate Chips: 1 cup (150 g)

Instructions

  1. Combine Wet Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl
  2. pour in the melted butter. Add the granulated white sugar and brown sugar
  3. then whisk thoroughly until well combined. Add Eggs and Vanilla: Crack in the whole egg
  4. add the extra yolk
  5. and pour in the vanilla extract. Whisk vigorously until the mixture is smooth
  6. glossy
  7. and slightly aerated. Incorporate Dry Ingredients: Add the all-purpose flour
  8. cornstarch
  9. baking soda
  10. and salt into the bowl. Use a spatula to fold the flour gently into the wet mixture just until a cohesive dough forms. Fold in Chocolate Chips: Add the chocolate chips and fold until evenly distributed throughout the dough. Scoop the Dough: Use a spring-loaded cookie scoop to portion uniform dough balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake: Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for 10 to 12 minutes until the edges are golden brown while the centers remain soft. Finish and Cool: Remove from the oven
