  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) Unsalted Butter
  • 4 ounces Dark Chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/3 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips or Chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease.
  2. In a saucepan over low heat, melt butter and chopped chocolate until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk eggs, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and frothy. Add vanilla and melted chocolate mixture, stirring to combine.
  4. In another bowl, whisk flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gently fold dry ingredients into the wet batter. Stir in chocolate chips or chunks.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the edges are set and the center is slightly soft. A toothpick should come out with moist crumbs.
  7. Cool completely before slicing. Chill for clean cuts.
