A rich and aromatic Mediterranean bread dip made with high-quality olive oil, minced sun-dried tomatoes, fresh garlic, and a blend of savory herbs.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 0.25 cups Sun-Dried Tomatoes (oil-packed), finely minced
  • 3 large cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano
  • 1 tsp Dried Basil
  • 0.5 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan Cheese, finely grated
  • 0.5 tsp Sea Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Cracked Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. In a shallow dipping bowl, combine the extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
  2. Add the finely minced sun-dried tomatoes and minced garlic to the oil.
  3. Stir in the dried oregano, dried basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  4. Gently whisk in the finely grated parmesan cheese until well distributed.
  5. Let the dip rest for at least 10 to 15 minutes at room temperature to allow the flavors to infuse the oil.
  6. Serve with warm, crusty bread for dipping.

Notes

  • Mince the ingredients very finely to ensure they stay suspended in the oil.
  • If preping in advance, store in the fridge but bring to room temperature before serving.
  • Use a high-quality balsamic for a better balance of sweetness and acidity.
