Bright, fizzy, and bursting with real strawberry flavor, this homemade Strawberry Soda is the perfect refreshing drink for warm days, parties, or any time you want a sweet bubbly treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (hulled and chopped)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 cups club soda or sparkling water (chilled)
  • Ice cubes, as needed
  • Optional: Whole strawberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine strawberries, sugar, water, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, until berries break down.
  2. Remove from heat and let syrup cool completely. Strain if desired.
  3. Fill tall glasses with ice.
  4. Add 2–3 tablespoons of strawberry syrup to each glass.
  5. Top with chilled club soda or sparkling water.
  6. Stir gently and garnish with whole strawberries if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor.
  • Cool syrup completely before mixing with soda to preserve carbonation.
  • Strain the syrup if you prefer a smooth drink without pulp.
  • Double the syrup recipe and store in the fridge for up to 5 days.
