Ingredients
Scale
1 pound ground beef
2 sheets puff pastry
1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
¾ cup marinara sauce
½ cup sliced pepperoni
½ cup chopped onions
½ cup diced green bell peppers
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon olive oil
½ teaspoon salt
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease your pie dish or baking pan.
In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, then sauté onions and peppers for 3–4 minutes until soft. Add ground beef, cooking until browned. Stir in garlic powder, oregano, salt, and marinara sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Roll out one sheet of puff pastry and press it into the base and sides of your pie dish. Let a little overhang for sealing later.
Layer half the mozzarella over the base, followed by the beef mixture. Top with pepperoni slices and remaining mozzarella.
Cover with the second sheet of puff pastry, crimp edges to seal, and cut small slits in the top. Brush with egg wash if desired. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown.
Let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing to keep the layers intact.
Slice and serve warm with your favorite side or dipping sauce.
Notes
Thaw puff pastry in the fridge to keep it easy to handle and puffy when baked.
Use a slotted spoon to avoid transferring excess moisture from the beef mixture.
Top with grated parmesan or sesame seeds before baking for extra flair.
