Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 and 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter (room temperature)
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 large Egg
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Orange Zest
  • 1 cup Dried Cranberries
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then beat in the egg and orange zest.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, then fold in the dried cranberries.
  5. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto baking sheets, spaced 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are golden.
  7. Cool on the sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Massage the orange zest into the sugar first to release more oils.
  • Do not overbake; cookies should look soft in the center when removed.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
