This Honey Garlic Glazed Salmon is sweet, savory, and beautifully caramelized with tender, flaky salmon fillets seared to perfection in a rich garlic-honey glaze. A fast and flavorful dish perfect for weeknights or special occasions.

Ingredients

  • Salmon Fillets: 4 pieces (about 6 oz each)
  • Honey: 1/4 cup
  • Garlic: 4 cloves, minced
  • Soy Sauce: 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh Lemon Juice: 1 tablespoon
  • Olive Oil: 2 tablespoons
  • Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black Pepper: 1/4 teaspoon
  • Optional Chili Flakes: 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh Parsley or Chives: for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: Heat a nonstick or cast iron skillet over medium heat until hot.
  2. Combine Ingredients: In a small bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, lemon juice, black pepper, and chili flakes (if using).
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Add olive oil to the hot skillet and swirl to coat evenly.
  4. Assemble the Dish: Season salmon fillets with salt. Place them skin-side down in the skillet.
  5. Cook to Perfection: Sear for 4–5 minutes until golden brown. Flip gently and pour the glaze over. Cook for another 3–4 minutes, basting frequently.
  6. Finishing Touches: Once the salmon is opaque and flaky, remove from heat. Let rest for 2 minutes as the glaze thickens slightly.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Plate the salmon with a drizzle of extra glaze and garnish with fresh herbs.

Notes

  • Let the fish come to room temperature before cooking for even searing.
  • Use fresh lemon juice for best flavor balance.
  • Deglaze the pan with a splash of water or broth if needed to loosen glaze.
