A rich and velvety homemade hot fudge sauce perfect for drizzling over ice cream, brownies, or enjoying by the spoonful. Quick to make and loaded with deep chocolate flavor.

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons light corn syrup

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together cocoa powder, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add heavy cream, corn syrup, and butter to the saucepan.
  3. Set the pan over medium heat and whisk constantly until the butter is melted and mixture is smooth.
  4. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for about 5 minutes, stirring continuously, until slightly thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  6. Let the fudge cool slightly before serving or storing in a jar.
