  • 2 large chicken breast, cut into bite-sized chunks
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups dry elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat and bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic until well combined.
  3. Add olive oil to the skillet and cook the chicken pieces in a single layer until golden and fully cooked.
  4. Pour the honey garlic mixture and butter into the skillet, stirring until the chicken is evenly coated and the sauce thickens slightly. Meanwhile, cook the macaroni according to package instructions and drain.
  5. In another pot, melt butter, whisk in flour, then slowly add milk while stirring. Add cheddar and parmesan cheese, stirring until smooth, then combine with the cooked macaroni.
  6. Taste both components and adjust salt and pepper as needed.
  7. Serve the creamy mac and cheese with the honey garlic butter chicken on top or alongside and enjoy.
