Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Sandwiches

A golden, crispy sandwich filled with creamy cheesecake and fresh strawberries—this indulgent treat brings the best of dessert and breakfast together in every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese – softened for a smooth, creamy filling
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar – to sweeten the cheesecake layer
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract – adds a warm depth of flavor
  • 1 cup strawberries – thinly sliced for juicy bursts
  • 8 slices white bread – forms the crispy outer layer
  • 2 large eggs – used in the coating for frying
  • 1/4 cup milk – to thin out the egg wash
  • 2 tablespoons butter – for golden frying
  • Powdered sugar (optional) – for a sweet, decorative finish

Instructions

  1. Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. In a shallow bowl, whisk eggs and milk to create the egg wash.
  4. Spread cream cheese mixture on four slices of bread, top with sliced strawberries, and close with remaining slices.
  5. Dip each sandwich in the egg wash, coating both sides evenly.
  6. Place sandwiches in the skillet and cook 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown.
  7. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate, let cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.
  8. Serve warm, sliced diagonally.

Notes

  • Use slightly stale bread for better texture and structure.
  • Chill sandwiches before frying to avoid filling leakage.
  • Wipe the pan between batches to prevent burning.
  • Customize with different fruits or a drizzle of chocolate.
