1 cup fresh blueberries
½ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 3 lemons)
¼–½ cup sugar or preferred sweetener
3 cups cold water
Ice cubes as needed
Optional garnish: lemon slices or extra blueberries
Instructions
In a small saucepan, combine blueberries with ¼ cup water and sugar. Cook gently until blueberries release juice and mixture thickens slightly, then let cool.
Strain mixture through a fine sieve to remove skins if desired.
In a pitcher, combine blueberry syrup with freshly squeezed lemon juice and cold water. Stir well to combine.
Add ice cubes and optional garnishes.
Serve chilled and enjoy immediately.
Notes
Use ripe blueberries for natural sweetness and vibrant color.
