This Deep Hamburger Sausage and Pepperoni Pie is a bold, savory twist on comfort food, featuring layers of seasoned beef, spicy sausage, melty mozzarella, and crispy pepperoni all wrapped in a golden pie crust.

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz Italian sausage, casings removed
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices, plus extra for topping
  • 1 deep-dish pie crust
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Fresh basil leaves, to garnish
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a deep-dish pie plate.
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef and sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease. Stir in garlic powder, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
  3. Press the pie crust into the prepared dish, letting some dough hang over the edges.
  4. Spoon half of the meat mixture into the crust. Layer with mozzarella, pepperoni, marinara, Parmesan, and Italian seasoning. Repeat the layers and top with cheese and pepperoni.
  5. Bake uncovered for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
  6. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil.
