A simple yet vibrant cranberry sauce sweetened with honey. Tart, glossy, and lightly floral, it’s the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. Serve warm or chilled with both sweet and savory dishes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1/3 cup honey (or to taste)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon orange or lemon juice (optional)
  • Pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, honey, water, citrus juice (if using), and salt.
  2. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer.
  3. Cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cranberries burst and sauce thickens.
  4. Lightly mash with the back of a spoon for desired consistency.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness or acidity as needed.
  6. Let cool completely before serving. Store leftovers in a sealed container.

Notes

  • Adjust honey to taste based on tartness of cranberries.
  • Add a cinnamon stick or orange zest for extra warmth.
  • Chill to thicken naturally or serve warm for a looser texture.
