A nostalgic and decadent homemade version of the classic fudgy brownies topped with smooth chocolate ganache and colorful candy chips.
- 3/4 cup (170g) Unsalted Butter, melted
- 1 cup (200g) White Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 cup (100g) Brown Sugar
- 2 Large Eggs
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 3/4 cup (75g) Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 3/4 cup (95g) All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 cup (120ml) Heavy Cream
- 1 cup (170g) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- 1/4 cup Rainbow Candy Coated Chips
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Whisk together melted butter, white sugar, and brown sugar.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until just combined.
- Fold in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt until no streaks remain.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 22-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Let cool completely.
- Heat heavy cream until simmering, pour over chocolate chips, and let sit for 1 minute before stirring until smooth.
- Spread the ganache over the cooled brownies and sprinkle with rainbow chips.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before slicing.
