A nostalgic and decadent homemade version of the classic fudgy brownies topped with smooth chocolate ganache and colorful candy chips.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup (170g) Unsalted Butter, melted
  • 1 cup (200g) White Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup (100g) Brown Sugar
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
  • 3/4 cup (75g) Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 3/4 cup (95g) All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) Heavy Cream
  • 1 cup (170g) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1/4 cup Rainbow Candy Coated Chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together melted butter, white sugar, and brown sugar.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until just combined.
  4. Fold in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt until no streaks remain.
  5. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  6. Bake for 22-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Let cool completely.
  7. Heat heavy cream until simmering, pour over chocolate chips, and let sit for 1 minute before stirring until smooth.
  8. Spread the ganache over the cooled brownies and sprinkle with rainbow chips.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before slicing.
