Cinnamon Roll French Toast Rolls are a sweet breakfast treat that combines the gooey cinnamon sugar center of a classic cinnamon roll with the crispy edges of French toast. Rolled with buttery cinnamon filling, pan-fried to golden perfection, and finished with a drizzle of icing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 slices white sandwich bread, crusts removed
  • 3 tbsp butter, softened
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon (for coating)
  • ¼ cup cream cheese frosting or vanilla icing

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix softened butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon to form a paste.
  2. Flatten each bread slice with a rolling pin and spread with cinnamon filling. Roll tightly.
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs and milk together.
  4. Dip each roll in the egg mixture and let excess drip off.
  5. Cook in a buttered skillet over medium heat, turning until all sides are golden.
  6. Mix granulated sugar and cinnamon in a bowl and roll warm French toast rolls in the mixture to coat.
  7. Drizzle with icing and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use fresh, soft bread for easy rolling.
  • Cook on medium heat to avoid burning the sugar.
  • For a cleaner finish, drizzle icing using a piping bag or spoon.
  • Reheat leftovers in an oven or air fryer for best texture.
