Ingredients

  • Ground Beef: 1 pound – Forms the hearty, savory base of the filling
  • Taco Seasoning: 2 tablespoons – Adds bold, zesty flavor
  • Shredded Cheddar Cheese: 1 cup – Melts perfectly inside each stick
  • Refrigerated Pizza Dough: 1 can (13.8 ounces) – Soft and golden shell for the filling
  • Olive Oil: 1 tablespoon – Brushed on top for a crispy finish
  • Garlic Powder: 1 teaspoon – Enhances the flavor of the crust
  • Chopped Fresh Cilantro: 2 tablespoons – Adds freshness and color
  • Marinara Sauce: 1 cup (for dipping) – Optional but adds delicious contrast

Instructions

  1. Preheat Your Equipment: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine Ingredients: Brown the ground beef in a skillet. Drain fat, add taco seasoning with a splash of water, simmer, then cool slightly.
  3. Prepare Your Cooking Vessel: Roll out pizza dough into a rectangle. Cut into 8 strips.
  4. Assemble the Dish: Add beef and cheese to one end of each strip, roll up tightly, and seal the edges.
  5. Cook to Perfection: Arrange on baking sheet, brush tops with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder. Bake 12–15 minutes until golden.
  6. Finishing Touches: Sprinkle with cilantro after baking.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Serve warm with marinara or salsa.

Notes

  • Let dough rest before rolling to make it easier to handle.
