Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 ¼ tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup whole milk, warmed
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a stand mixer bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
  3. Add melted butter, eggs, and salt. Mix and gradually add flour until dough forms. Knead for 5–7 minutes.
  4. Let dough rise in a warm area for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. In a saucepan, melt butter, add caramel sauce and vanilla. Pour half into the dish and sprinkle with pecans.
  6. Roll dough into a rectangle. Spread with butter and cinnamon sugar. Roll tightly and cut into 12 rolls.
  7. Place rolls in the dish cut side down. Let rise 30 minutes. Pour cream over the top.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  9. Cool 5 minutes and invert to coat with caramel. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use dental floss to slice rolls cleanly without squishing.
  • Let rolls rise fully for fluffier texture.
  • Drizzle extra caramel after baking for more gooeyness.
