This creamy and indulgent butterscotch latte is the perfect blend of strong coffee and rich butterscotch syrup. Whether served hot or iced, it’s smooth, sweet, and ready in minutes — a perfect cozy café-style drink at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 shots espresso or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 23 tablespoons butterscotch chips or butterscotch sauce
  • 3/4 to 1 cup milk of choice
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Ice cubes (for iced version)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt butterscotch chips with a splash of milk, stirring constantly. Add brown sugar (if using), vanilla, and salt. Stir until smooth.
  2. Brew your espresso or strong coffee and set aside.
  3. If serving iced, fill a glass with ice. For hot, warm a mug.
  4. Pour coffee into the glass or mug, then add milk and the warm butterscotch syrup. Stir to combine.
  5. Top with whipped cream, a drizzle of extra syrup, or a pinch of sea salt if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use oat or whole milk for extra creaminess.
  • Adjust sweetness by increasing or decreasing the syrup.
  • Store extra syrup in the fridge for up to 1 week.
  • Try it hot or iced depending on your mood or the season.
