A decadent and towering fusion of creamy cheesecake and traditional apple pie, featuring a graham cracker crust, spiced sautéed apples, and a golden oat streusel topping.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Graham Cracker Crumbs
  • 3/4 cup Unsalted Butter, melted and divided
  • 24 ounces Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 4 large Apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Mix graham cracker crumbs with 1/2 cup melted butter and press into a 9-inch springform pan. Bake for 10 minutes.
  2. In a saucepan, sauté sliced apples with 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon until just tender. Let cool.
  3. Beat cream cheese and remaining sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing just until combined.
  4. Pour cheesecake batter over the crust. Arrange the sautéed apples on top.
  5. Mix the remaining butter, flour, and remaining spices to create a crumble, then sprinkle over the apples.
  6. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes until edges are set but the center still jiggles slightly.
  7. Cool in the oven with the door cracked for one hour, then refrigerate for at least 6 hours before serving.

Notes

  • Sautéing the apples first prevents them from releasing too much moisture into the cheesecake during baking.
  • Slow cooling is the secret to a crack-free cheesecake surface.
  • Serve with a drizzle of caramel sauce for a true showstopper finish.
