A simplified, 5-ingredient twist on the classic magic bar, creating a perfectly portioned, handheld cookie with a chewy coconut edge and a gooey chocolate center.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 cups Graham Cracker Crumbs
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 1 can (14 ounces) Sweetened Condensed Milk, chilled
  • 1 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
  • 1 cup Shredded Coconut

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and softened butter until well mixed.
  3. Pour in the chilled sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, and shredded coconut, then stir until all ingredients are completely incorporated.
  4. Scoop large, rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about two inches between each cookie.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  6. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for at least 10 minutes to allow them to set.
  7. Transfer the completely cooled cookies to a wire rack before serving or storing.

Notes

  • For the best texture, use sweetened, flaked coconut.
  • Highly-chilled condensed milk helps prevent the cookies from spreading too flat.
  • You can lightly toast the coconut before adding it to the dough for a deeper flavor profile.
